Next Thursday is Australia Day, the day Captain Cook 'discovered' Australia by sailing into Botany Bay. Never mind that the indigeous people had been here for many thousands of years before then. Anyhoo, why not start celebrating now?
Australia Day is summer, a perfect time to visit the beach. We have some of the most beautiful beaches on earth and a huge coastline of 35 876 kms and the small islands add another 23 859 kms. The beach is central to so many of our pastimes...I'm going to a Hen's Night at the beach this weekend :) And it's free. Eat your heart out Italy! (I won't ever get over paying 3 euro to go to the beach!!
Today I choose a music video from "The Waifs", this song never fails to make me smile, it's so bright and breezy and they are from the south coast of Western Australia :) Enjoy!
