Slept in this morning and had a late breakfast before Leif took us to Mission Beach - his mum wanted to go swimming. It was far too cold for us to contemplate a swim at only 24 C but I suppose it doesn't get that hot in Denmark! Kevin and I went and got hot coffee instead and went for a stroll along the beachfront. It's a trendy kind of place, lots of families were picnicing and many more eating at the many cafes. The houses overlooking Mission Beach sell for around $NZ1 million.
Back to Mangere Bridge, had lunch and a quick walk along the harbour before our Kiwi friend Steve picked us up to take us to his home for dinner. We spent a lovely evening with Steve and his wife Mary.
