The 10 of us went off to Rotarua - about a 3 hour drive south-east of Auckland. Our destination was Te Puia, a cultural attraction run by Maori. It includes a thermal valley, complete with geysers and boiling mud; Maori performances - the huka was fantastic; Maori arts and crafts and a Kiwi house with two kiwis. I didn't take this photo as cameras weren't allowed in the Kiwi house.
It was drizzling most of the morning so we were all a little bit wet, but the wind behind one of the geysers really sorted us out!

We had a great day and

the kids enjoyed being our guides.
