Last night I relived a part of my childhood when I went to see Mary Poppins, the musical, in Perth. There's an Australian connection: the author of the book was P. L. Travers who lived in Bowral, NSW. The set design was STUNNING! The stage show took elements of both the movie and the book, and didn't follow the movie all that closely. The singing and dancing lived up to all the reviews I've read and all of our group of around 20 agreed it was simply wonderful.
