I must be tired of posting about New Zealand, because I haven't blogged in a while, so today's post is one of the ramblings promised in the sub-title!!
I think my mother is psychic! DS stayed with her last night and she asked him to text me once he'd arrived in perth. She rang me around lunch time to ask if he had rung or not. He hadn't, so I said I would ring him, that he'd probably just forgotten. Turns out, he'd had a flat tyre on the freeway (on the freeway!) the RAC came and organised a tow truck to get him to a tyre place. The flat tyre actually had a huge gash on the sidewall, thank goodness it didn't affect his steering and send him into the traffic. Makes me feel sick just thinking about that. So DH went and helped him out and we decided to put 4 new tyres on the car seeing as he's driving up to Kalgoorlie and back these days.
On the up side, a gf invited a few friends around for a laksa lunch. It was delicious and lovely to catch up with the girls. I made a batch of vanilla cupcakes from the Donna Hay recipe that I couldn't seem to get to work. I've decided she missed out a key ingredient - milk! I added probably a whole cup of milk to the recipe! J made her sister's brownie recipe - it's to die for - it has a whole block of chocolate in it!
