The Offal Pit sold lamb tails. Honestly, I don't know how anyone would eat one. They had a bag of tails, they just threw them onto the bbq to burn the wool and then skin it off. The end result looked like a rat's tail - ewwww. You can just imagine the smell of the burning wool!!

We tried bison from the High Country Tucker stall, it was very much like beef. They also sold wild boar and lamb.

The mountain oyster stall. It was very popular!! We watched one guy eat his...enough to put anyone off their food! Some of the more unusual things that were on offer were punga (tree fern stem), mussell and wild pork kebabs, ostrich patties, horse patties, grilled mutton bird, viagra slushy!, bunny balls (I think they were rabbit rissoles rather than the other type of ball!), huhu grubs (like our witchety grubs), chocolate worm truffles, worm sushi, worm fudge, deep fried beetles, wasp larvae icecream. We were quite conservative with what we ate - we tried the bison and had a shark sandwich. I wouldn't have minded trying the mussell and pork kebabs but that will have to wait until next time!
