IWD is celebrated each year on the 8th March to celebrate the achievements of women everywhere. We must not forget the efforts of the women before us that have paved our way and of course there's more to do. I celebrated by donating through Good Return to two women trying to run businesses - one has a market stall in Nepal and the other a shop in East Timor. Happy IWD to all you lovely ladies out there :)
My husband goes to hospital tomorrow to have a colonoscopy (it's just routine, as his mother died of bowel cancer). Billy Connolly explains the lead up to the procedure so well
