Been thinking....

And while I already knew this, I am so glad I live in Australia.  Okay, so it's not perfect but it's pretty close.  I can be independent, drive, earn my own wage without my husband feeling threatened or thinking I'm off with other men. I can go away for a weekend or overseas for a month without any repercussions.

I've just finished reading "Infidel" by Aayan Ali Hirsi.  You may have seen her on TV.  She is in constant danger because of her views on Islam but she won't be silenced.  This book is really worth reading as it highlights the real beliefs of this ancient religion (that probably belongs in ancient times).

I read the other day about a girl stoned to death in Azerbijan because she took part in a beauty pageant and was wearing Western clothes.

Women in Saudi Arabia get bashed if they dare drive a car.  Why?

In a lot of countries in Africa there is violence and people are starving and that has been happening for a long time.  Where does all the aid go?  Why are we not seeing an improvement in these people's lives?

I don't know what the answers are.
